Brilliant pub, we need more like this! Great value tasty pints and the Thai food is as amazing as it is unexpected to find in such a place! Very friendly and welcoming staff - make sure to stop over here
We were stopping over night near by on the way back from Scotland and found that The Crown did Thai food. From the outside it seems the pub has seen better days but once inside we found the landlord and his wife very welcoming and friendly. There was a good atmosphere and it was very much a locals pub which is always a good sign. The food was excellent.
Stopped over at start of holiday first time eating Thai food it was amazing so good we have stopped over on way home after a week to have the Thai food again. Very friendly staff and welcoming.

We stayed here in our Motorhome as it was advertised on “Park for night”. We had a fantastic night eating the freshly prepared Thai food and having a good laugh with the locals and staff. Would definitely stay here again
Didn’t stop at the hotel out got a takeaway Thai last night, whilst inside/outside isn’t looking the best the Thai food was honestly amazing, the best food of our entire trip! We got the chicken massaman, crispy chilli beef, sticky rice, egg noodles and veg. So tasty and the meat seemed good quality
Totally recommend for non residents , evening meal Thai food perfect in every way, brilliant atmosphere, service, reasonably priced, fresh , cooked to order, wish we lived closer to come in more
The Crown kindly let us stay in our motorhome in the car park on our way home from a tour of Scotland. Of course we were only too happy to dine in the restaurant as part of the deal. The Thai food we were served was delicious, would highly recommend. Good friendly people, dog friendly, and walkable to and from Penrith.
